Glass is found in many areas of our everyday lives. We see glass when we look in the mirror. We see glass when we drive our car and look through the windshield. We see glass every time we look out the windows in our homes, schools, and work buildings. Also, consider the many glass items we use every day, such as stemware and plates. Many lovely vases are also crafted of glass.
Have you ever wondered what ingredients are involved in making glass? Well, here is a little recipe.
The ingredients required are sand or silica, sodium carbonate, limestone, magnesium carbonate and extra fillers to give color and added strength to the glass.
Check back to the blog next week to see how these ingredients are combined together to actually become glass.
