Plate glass for windows, mirrors, shelves, etc

Plate glass is a type of glass that is used commonly as windows, shelves, and tabletops. Plate glass is started like any other type of glass being melted down to its liquid form. It is then rolled out on conveyor belts and when it cools a bit, into a soft solid and then flattened by rollers that roll over the piece of glass until it is perfectly flat and smooth. The plate glass is then used for covering mirrors, acting as a window, or being a tabletop.
